The patch below does not apply to the 4.14-stable tree.
If someone wants it applied there, or to any other stable or longterm
tree, then please email the backport, including the original git commit
id to <stable@vger.kernel.org>.

thanks,

greg k-h

Subject: [PATCH] Bluetooth: Fix slab-out-of-bounds read in
 hci_le_direct_adv_report_evt()

`num_reports` is not being properly checked. A malformed event packet with
a large `num_reports` number makes hci_le_direct_adv_report_evt() read out
of bounds. Fix it.

I just generated a rebased patch that applies to 4.4, 4.9 and 4.14.  I
have sent it to syzbot for testing (once again, but against 4.14), and I
will send it here once syzbot is happy.

Cheers,
Peilin Ye
