The patch below does not apply to the 4.14-stable tree.
If someone wants it applied there, or to any other stable or longterm
tree, then please email the backport, including the original git commit
id to <stable@vger.kernel.org>.

Subject: [PATCH] i2c: stm32f7: recover the bus on access timeout

When getting an access timeout, ensure that the bus is in a proper
state prior to returning the error.
