Subject: [PATCH 1/5] ftrace: Fix memory leak in ftrace_graph_release()
Date: Fri, 26 May 2017 22:48:14 -0400 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20170527025017.800894245@goodmis.org> (raw)
In-Reply-To: 20170527024813.934870008@goodmis.org
[-- Attachment #1: 0001-ftrace-Fix-memory-leak-in-ftrace_graph_release.patch --]
[-- Type: text/plain, Size: 1900 bytes --]
From: Luis Henriques <lhenriques@suse.com>
ftrace_hash is being kfree'ed in ftrace_graph_release(), however the
->buckets field is not. This results in a memory leak that is easily
captured by kmemleak:
unreferenced object 0xffff880038afe000 (size 8192):
comm "trace-cmd", pid 238, jiffies 4294916898 (age 9.736s)
hex dump (first 32 bytes):
00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................
00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................
