Subject: [PATCH 4.4 30/78] inet: frag: release spinlock before calling icmp_send()
Date: Fri, 22 Dec 2017 09:46:11 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20171222084600.283251460@linuxfoundation.org> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <20171222084556.909780563@linuxfoundation.org>

4.4-stable review patch. If anyone has any objections, please let me know.

------------------

From: Eric Dumazet <edumazet@google.com>

[ Upstream commit ec4fbd64751de18729eaa816ec69e4b504b5a7a2 ]

Dmitry reported a lockdep splat [1] (false positive) that we can fix
by releasing the spinlock before calling icmp_send() from ip_expire()

This is a false positive because sending an ICMP message can not
possibly re-enter the IP frag engine.
