Subject: [PATCH 4.9 86/87] KVM: SVM: Implement VIRT_SPEC_CTRL support for SSBD
Date: Mon, 21 May 2018 23:12:02 +0200	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20180521210427.284646761@linuxfoundation.org> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <20180521210420.222671977@linuxfoundation.org>

4.9-stable review patch. If anyone has any objections, please let me know.

------------------

From: Tom Lendacky <thomas.lendacky@amd.com>

commit bc226f07dcd3c9ef0b7f6236fe356ea4a9cb4769 upstream

Expose the new virtualized architectural mechanism, VIRT_SSBD, for using
speculative store bypass disable (SSBD) under SVM. This will allow guests
to use SSBD on hardware that uses non-architectural mechanisms for enabling
SSBD.
