Subject: [PATCH 4.4 61/88] KVM: SVM: Implement VIRT_SPEC_CTRL support for SSBD
Date: Fri, 14 Dec 2018 13:00:35 +0100 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20181214115707.427258423@linuxfoundation.org> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <20181214115702.151309521@linuxfoundation.org>
4.4-stable review patch. If anyone has any objections, please let me know.
------------------
From: Tom Lendacky <thomas.lendacky@amd.com>
commit bc226f07dcd3c9ef0b7f6236fe356ea4a9cb4769 upstream.
Expose the new virtualized architectural mechanism, VIRT_SSBD, for using
speculative store bypass disable (SSBD) under SVM. This will allow guests
to use SSBD on hardware that uses non-architectural mechanisms for enabling
SSBD.
