Subject: [PATCH 5.15 25/59] netfilter: nft_immediate: drop chain reference counter on error
Date: Sat, 13 Jan 2024 10:49:56 +0100 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20240113094210.081805524@linuxfoundation.org> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <20240113094209.301672391@linuxfoundation.org>
5.15-stable review patch. If anyone has any objections, please let me know.

From: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
[ Upstream commit b29be0ca8e816119ccdf95cc7d7c7be9bde005f1 ]
In the init path, nft_data_init() bumps the chain reference counter,
decrement it on error by following the error path which calls
nft_data_release() to restore it.
Fixes: 4bedf9eee016 ("netfilter: nf_tables: fix chain binding transaction logic")
