Subject: [PATCH AUTOSEL 6.14 14/39] driver core: introduce device_set_driver() helper
Date: Tue, 29 Apr 2025 19:49:41 -0400	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20250429235006.536648-14-sashal@kernel.org> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <20250429235006.536648-1-sashal@kernel.org>

From: Dmitry Torokhov <dmitry.torokhov@gmail.com>

[ Upstream commit 04d3e5461c1f5cf8eec964ab64948ebed826e95e ]

In preparation to closing a race when reading driver pointer in
dev_uevent() code, instead of setting device->driver pointer directly
introduce device_set_driver() helper.
