Subject: [PATCH AUTOSEL 6.14 05/39] nvmem: core: fix bit offsets of more than one byte
Date: Tue, 29 Apr 2025 19:49:32 -0400 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20250429235006.536648-5-sashal@kernel.org> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <20250429235006.536648-1-sashal@kernel.org>
From: Dmitry Baryshkov <dmitry.baryshkov@linaro.org>
[ Upstream commit 7a06ef75107799675ea6e4d73b9df37e18e352a8 ]
If the NVMEM specifies a stride to access data, reading particular cell
might require bit offset that is bigger than one byte. Rework NVMEM core
code to support bit offsets of more than 8 bits.
