Tested on an amd64 laptop (Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 1). Working well,
no regressions observed.

And yet they were not.

I can some issues, such as these feature additions being backported:
[...]
> Rui Feng (1):
> misc: rtsx: Add SD Express mode support for RTS5261
[...]
> Ulf Hansson (1):
> mmc: core: Initial support for SD express card/host

supposedly as dependencies of:

But it doesn't depend on them. And it also got reverted in this same
series. So backporting the "dependencies" just introduced risk with no
benefit.
Meanwhile, the stable-specific regressions in recent 5.10.y stable
releases (affecting ARM memset64() and IPv6 tunnels) were not addressed
in 5.10.252.

I don't think we ever did post the series for -rc2+, did we?

Thanks for the heads-up, I've queued up both fixes.

The patches for rc1 also weren't sent, or at least none of them reached
the stable list. And rc2 normally only adds or removes a small number
of patches identified in the review of rc1, but this rc2 added nearly
200 for no clear reason.

Ah, I see what happened. I'll add stable@. They were only sent to patches@:
https://lore.kernel.org/all/20260228181736.1605592-1-sashal@kernel.org/

There's an explanation here: https://lore.kernel.org/all/aaWqrI1fLkusYqMV@laps/
But yes, maybe I should have re-sent the entire patch series given the change.

This causes a regression, fixed by commit 03819abbeb11 "net: usb:

see that won't apply cleanly.

This depends on commit 63a11adaceb8 "fbdev/vt8500lcdfb: Initialize
fb_ops with fbdev macros" from 6.8, but that doesn't seem to be
backportable. This should either be reverted on all older stable
branches, or fixed up to use the screen_base field instead of
screen_buffer.
