Subject: [FEAT REQ / BUG] b4 review messes with hooks
Date: Sat, 21 Mar 2026 13:27:51 +0100 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <d2333f94-54a8-4175-b4cd-377c7b4dae9b@kernel.org> (raw)
I am trying b4 review in a repo I used for maintenance. That repo has
also checkpach and signed-off hooks installed:
https://web.git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/soc/soc-tools.git
Starting review causes quite a bunch of warnings, I guess from post commit:
1. Executes in other directory (?):
line 17: ./scripts/checkpatch.pl: No such file or directory
2. Missing SoB:
Errors in tree with Signed-off-by, please fix!
Any idea how to adjust the hooks, so b4 review will not trigger them?
Installed hooks are:
post-applypatch
post-commit
post-merge
