Subject: [U-Boot-Users] Davinci Ethernet Problems
Date: Fri, 4 Apr 2008 13:16:34 -0400	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <001701c89677$a2861530$e7923f90$@com> (raw)

I am running uBoot on a DM6646 DSP and am not able to see an ARP Response
from the network. When using the Davinci EVM board, I send out a ping and
while monitoring the Ethernet traffic. I see an ARP Request from the DSP,
Arp Response from my PC, and then an Echo Request from the DSP. When I try
this with my custom board, I never get an Echo Request. I have verified that
the receive signals going from the PHY to the DSP are present.

I am using a Marvell 88E3018 PHY where the Davinci EVM board uses an Intel
PHY. I have not verified whether this is a hardware or software problem,
where uBoot may need to be modified.

Any help is appreciated,

Regards,

Eric Palmer
