Hello,
I have a problem regarding the FFUART of a PXA255 processor. U-boot
doesn't seem to accept any characters sent from the terminal (i'm
currently using hyperterminal) even after I cleared the RDH bit in the
PSSR. Did someone encountered this problem?
thanks,
Petre

Is it a hyperterm problem? Did you verify hyperterm is actually sending data? A classic problem is that Windows has handshaking enabled and it is waiting for a handshake. Make sure both software and hardware handshaking is disabled. (If your board supports handshaking, this would be a test. If it doesn't, this is essential).

No, the hyperterminal was configured for 19200 8N1 with no handshaking.
I've also tried minicom and there is the same problem.
I used also the skyeye simulator to test the program and it stops in
function serial_getc() al line 166.
166 while (!(FFLSR & LSR_DR))
thanks,
Petre
this is what I get from the serial port:

Attach a scope. Check if you see the characters on the wire. If you
do, trace them on your board. Are you sure your hardware is fully
functional?
