Hi,

I have an ARM board which has a LAN9118 ethernet controller (SMSC)
instead of a LAN91C111 which is supported in u-boot. Is there any
existing patch or ongoing work to support it?

To my understanding the SMSC LAN91C111 and the LAN911x family are quite
different. So a simple patch is most likely not enough. The good news is
that SMSC offers a Linux driver for download (see
http://www.smsc.com/main/catalog/lan9115.html). So you could start from
there.

If it is possible please send a patch to the U-Boot mailing list once
you are done. Most likely the patch that Tim Braun posted will be of
great help for you.
