I thought that is a legal definition according to u-boot document
section "5.9.3.5. mtdparts - define a Linux compatible MTD partition
scheme" at http://www.denx.de/wiki/view/DULG/UBootCmdGroupFlash
mtdparts=mtdparts=<mtd-def>[;<mtd-def>...]
