The following batch fixes this case, assuming I understand the situation correctly. This matches the useage of the macro in the cpu/ppc4xx/serial.c file. * Don't call serial_buffered_init() is CONFIG_SERIAL_SOFTWARE_FIFO ~ is defined to be 0. - --- u-boot-1.0.0/lib_ppc/board.c 2003-10-15 16:53:59.000000000 -0700 +++ u-boot-1.0.0-devel/lib_ppc/board.c 2004-01-01 16:21:47.000000000 -0800 @@ -835,7 +835,7 @@ void board_init_r (gd_t *id, ulong dest_ ~ /* Must happen after interrupts are initialized since ~ * an irq handler gets installed ~ */ - -#ifdef CONFIG_SERIAL_SOFTWARE_FIFO +#if CONFIG_SERIAL_SOFTWARE_FIFO ~ serial_buffered_init(); ~ #endif - -- Steve Williams "The woods are lovely, dark and deep. steve at icarus.com But I have promises to keep, http://www.icarus.com and lines to code before I sleep, http://www.picturel.com And lines to code before I sleep." -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFAHuOZrPt1Sc2b3ikRAtXPAKDZPTOWlYsbQo6+3Mu8elOfR/fsYACePdOq mkx1o6rhRrl0M0111CRRvwU= =kNvq -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
