Next to the fact that testing this will take about the same amount of time as figuring it out by yourself by testing this, the answers are: 1. yes 2. no: it's hardcoded in the Makefile ... ifeq ($(ARCH),ppc) CROSS_COMPILE = ppc_82xx- endif ...
