[U-Boot-Users] U-Boot on 440EP Bamboo board, anybody succeed?

Hi,
I'm trying to run U-Boot 1.1.4 on original 440EP Bamboo board and have two major problems:
1. Ethernets don't work, just "Net:   No ethernet found" on boot. In PIBS works.
2. When trying to boot uImage (loaded via USB, as eth doesn't work), it just hang after "Uncompressing Kernel Image ... OK". The same bzImage runs in PIBS.
U-Boot 1.1.4, Linux 2.6.16, compiled with gcc 3.4.5.
 
Does anybody succeed to run U-Boot on this board?

Which git commit ID is your version of U-Boot?

Yes, of course. We have U-Boot running fine on this  board.  You  can
find working images on our FTP server, see
ftp://ftp.denx.de/pub/u-boot/images/amcc/bamboo/

You have to set the MAC addresse(s) and reset the board. After this both enet 
devices will be available.

Please give the DENX linux images a try:

They definitely work here on a baboo.

Hmmm. Should work. What is the content of the env variable bootargs upon 
booting the kernel. Did you pass all needed info to the kernel (ttySx, 
baudrate...)?

Thanks for the tips. bootargs was no set at all (I was using plain bootm).

But this is most probably not an U-Boot probl;em. Where did  you  get
your  kernel  image from? [Hint: there is a working image just in the
neigbour directory on the same server; just s/u-boot/linux/ ].
