Are you talking about the IXP4xx NPE network driver? If yes, it's already 
available in the current U-Boot version. Unfortunately in a quite 
unsatisfactory way, since the binary image for the NPE's is not available in 
a GPL compatible license and can't be distributed with U-Boot.
