How is the status of the m68k branch of U-Boot? There are set of patches
open, which are older than 6 months.

	Stefan has just updated and merged the M5329 support. Future
platform should be based on M5329 structure and method.

As TsiChung already pointed out, quite a big ColdFire rework is going on right 
now. Please take a look at the u-boot-coldfire repository.

It's very likely that even very old patches are still not applied. Best would 
be to resubmit such ColdFire patches against the new repository.
