I understood you are working on Linux, and only seen u-boot patches from Chin-Liang, so I cc-ed him.. Anyway, you can ignore those patches now, Marek actually transformed those patches into rather nice series ([PATCH 00/35][RFC] arm: socfpga: Usability fixes).
