/board/xilinx/xilinx_enet/emac_adapter.c
and
/board/xilinx/xilinx_iic/iic_adapter.c
both have a
#include <configs/ml300.h>
which I believe prevents users from making other board configs under the
/board/xilinx directory based on the ML300 that use the xilinx_enet and
xilinx_iic adapaters. Can this be removed?

Maybe. How about submitting a patch?

There are some strings. They're just not attached.
