The default memory addresses are defined in your board config file. Look
at the defines:

#define CFG_MEMTEST_START
#define CFG_MEMTEST_END

Thanks, I guess I should have grepped first.

How long does it generally take for mtest to do a test on 1M of memory?
I left mine running for a few hours and it was still going.

It runs endless, unless you press Ctrl-C ;-)
You maybe have defined CFG_ALT_MEMTEST, then it stops, if an
error occur or Ctrl-C is pressed.
