Wolfgang,

Sorry to be a bother.  I thought I was done
pulling 86xx stuff yesterday, but two late
arrivals came in.  One is definitely a bug
fix (EEPROM stuff) and the others are just
nice features.

If you would, please pick them up!

One possible reason that things aren't going  according  to  plan  is
that there never was a plan in the first place.
