I would like to get our -rc1 within the next 2 days or so.

Please drop me (and the respective custodian) a note if you have any
patches that are supposed to go in.

Custodians: if there is unmerged stuff in your queues, then please
send your pull requests within the next few days.

This is a new command that uses the FDT utilities.  As such, I believe 
it is in Wolfgang's area.

backlog of patches and pushed stuff through the u-boot-staging repo:

Hm... nobody outside DENX in this list :-(


Second, I would like to get ready for the -rc1 pre-release.
I'll wait for the next ARM pull request from Albert, and then I will
push -rc1 out.

I would have liked to have helped, but I've been flat out at home and
barely able to get x86 ready for -rc1. I am glad to see that it looks like
a workable solution :)

There is http://patchwork.ozlabs.org/patch/128356/ but apparently there is
another fix for this in the ARM tree somewhere - Albert, can you please
confirm? If so, x86 is ready to roll

would it be possible to upmerge my realisation for NXP LPC32XX support 
and DevKit3250 board during the merge window?

I hope there is no stoppers for that.

Not sure what qualifies as "supposed to go on", but I'd like this bug
fix patch I submitted in earlier November and got no comments on to get
in.

Confirm: patch from Sanjeev Premi, dated 2011-11-16, "part_efi: fix 
compile errors", currently in u-boot-arm/master. Once I pull in whatever 
I can tonight, I'll send the pull request to Wolfgang and the patch will 
be there.

Eep, this collides with commit
4715a81136049167160230efd28eb9d48eeded1f in u-boot/master. The one in
u-boot-arm/master is a superset of the one in u-boot/master

If I am not mistaken, these are not bug fixes, and were submitted after 
the merge window was closed. Unless Wolfgang agrees that I let them in 
now, they should wait until next merge window.

Then when I rebase the ARM tree onto the mailine one, a merge conflict 
should arise and I will then merge the commits together as part of the 
rebase. That OK?

Surely I don't insist in inclusion of the SoC support into this release, 
but I have a hope to get it in the next, and the next merge window start 
is expected to be on the next week or so, if I'm not mistaken.

I rebased the changes a couple of times upon u-boot-arm/next, I thought 
that this branch is dedicated for the next merge window changes, but my 
change still haven't been pushed into it, that's why I feel worried 
about them and their inclusion during the next merge window.

I just would be glad to get awared eventually that from your ARM 
custodian perspective the proposed change is ok for U-boot.

I will let you know ASAP -- right now I am focusing on what's going into 
master for RC, but when this is done, I'll get back to your patches and 
apply them to next or let you know whatever changes would be needed. If 
they get onto next, then on dec 12, after the release is out and tagged, 
ARM/next will move to ARM/master and I'll send a pull request for it.

I guess we cannot done this before rc1 is out.
If we can done this before rc2, then other people could
be able to refine their code if they want just after the official release.

This is MMC stuff, so they go through Andy's tree.

Maybe you should put him on Cc: (done now).

Instead of adding broken stuff to fix it later you might want to
submit a new version of this stuff that sqashes the patches.

mmc framework)" is from me. The 'new mmc framework for avr32' is from
Sven Schnelle and yes, we could merge these two together .. sven?

IMHO the most important patch is
http://patchwork.ozlabs.org/patch/117688/ which unbreaks the whole avr32
architecture.

AFAIK Haavrad Skinnemoen does not work at atmel any longer and I think
he has nothing else to do with avr32 ...

Since then Reinhard took over as a 'atmel' custodian and yes, he was in CC.

No  objections against merging those two patches together. Can you do
that for me, as i'm traveling
and have no access to all the AVR32 stuff for testing.

I can do so, but not before Friday ... Andy should comment on
http://patchwork.ozlabs.org/patch/119780/ before doing the merge cause
this patch was an RFC ... will forward the patch to him and ask. IMHO
those two patches (120993 and 119780) are not a _must_ have for rc1 (or
this release at all), but they where posted before merge window closed
(and on my wish list).
