Hello,
Currently there are two distinct implementation in videomodes.c.
1) video_get_params with parses videomode like:
video=ctfb:x:800,xv:1280,y:600,yv:1024,depth:16,mode:0,pclk:25000,
le:56,ri:48,up:26,lo:5,hs:152,vs:2,sync:0,vmode:0,accel:0
2) video_get_video_mode which parses video-mode like:
video-mode=fslfb:1280x1024-32 at 60,monitor=dvi and accepts default
VESA modes.
For a LCD typically option 1 is needed, for DVI option 2 is allot nicer.
I am
therefore tempted to merge both version in a backwards compatible
manner so e.g. on a board with both options, option 1 can be used to
fiddle around with LCD timing and option 2 when using DVI.
Any objections against such a change?
Regards,
Jeroen
