current mtd/nand/nand_base.c does in same way. We have to define 
CONFIG_SYS_NAND_ONFI_DETECTION.
Once it is defined, it will check for normal flash detection followed by 
ONFI.  Similar way as Linux doing.

do you have some other requirement.
