Again, there is also patches adding new feature as this one for the Future Electronics display, that contains also many additions to CONFIG_EXTRA_ENV_SETTINGS. I will apply the patch for Future's display - it is much more as only a change to default environment - but I am still confident that we can do in the right way once and I will let the other patches in my queue.
