Hello,
i will use CONFIG_PRE_CONSOLE_BUFFER and have some trouble.
myboard.h
#define CONFIG_PRE_CONSOLE_BUFFER
#define CONFIG_PRE_CON_BUF_SZ 4096
#ifndef __ASSEMBLY__
extern char preConsoleBuffer[] __attribute__ ((section(".data")));
#define CONFIG_PRE_CON_BUF_ADDR preConsoleBuffer
#endif

char preConsoleBuffer[ CONFIG_PRE_CON_BUF_SZ ] __attribute__
((section(".data")));
int board_init()
{
.....
console_init_f();
.....
}
u-boot/arch/arm/lib/board.c
remove console_init_f(); from init_sequence list.
after this changes, u-boot will hang.
use u-boot v2013-04 on arm i.mx6 (Freescale)

Why do you remove console_init_f()?
Is this hanging in SPL or U-Boot?
