Hi,
I'm about to start the porting of U-Boot on a custom board based on iMX6
(close to SabreSD).
My questions are:
1) should I use device tree or use the "old" way (cloning directory and
make modifications)?
2) How is the status of CONFIG_OF_CONTROL on u-boot in general (and in
particular on iMX6)?

For now, it's better to use the board file way. We are currently not
at the point to provide a dts to fully describe the hardware in U-boot
for imx.
