Hello,
I am trying to boot linux on a PPC440GP based board; however, u-boot hangs after decompressing the kernel. I checked the __log_buf, and I see a message saying that the interrupt is not syncing and a message saying that there is a BUG_ON uic_get_irq (BUG_ON(! primary_uic)).
It seems like the function uic_init_tree() is not getting called. I, also, see do_IRQ () function getting called. Is the problem in the device tree?
Thank you,
Jacob

Could be. Hard to tell with so little information. Please post the complete
log (_log_buf). And how did you create the device-tree? Please post at least
the UIC part of it as well.
Cheers,
Stefan

But please do not post this here, as thisis a Linux problem, not a
U-Boot one, so it's off topic here.
Please take this to a Linux mailing list.
Best regards,

Hi,
I'm working on a var-som-mx6 board with an original kernel version
3.0.35 that I have updated to a 3.14.28 version builded with Yocto
Dizzy. It seems all ok but, sometimes, after software or hardware reboot
the system hangs on u-boot. It seems some issue with environment
variables cause, when loading reaches u-boot prompt, sometimes it hangs
after executing "printenv" or some other command.
Before that problem I have seen messages like these: "*** Warning - bad
CRC, using default environment" or "## Warning: Unknown environment
variable access method '@'". What could these mean? What could be the
problem?
All those problems don't appear if I turn-off and turn-on the board by
main switch, In these cases it always load successfully and I can access
without any problem to u-boot environment variables.
thank you again for the attention
best regards
Andrea
