I wrote the code - even though it was a long time ago, my memory is that
they do in fact have to be within one bank. I left out a bit of the syntax,
it is actually "<bank>:<first>[-<last>]". The patch changes this to
"<bank>:<first>[-[<last>]]".

This can co-exist with the bank/sector notation.
