Hi Wolfgang,
The VIX product never went into production, so there aren't any boards that
will ever use the code.
Since no one uses the VIX, the code is generally neglected. It has been a
regular source of build errors that are only detected when preparing to make a
release. See the 1.3.4-rc1, 1.3.2-rc1, etc. messages to this list. The effort
spent fixing those errors would be better spent on something more important.
