[U-Boot-Users] u-boot on the DB64360

Hi,

I've built u-boot for DB64360 config for the IBM eval board. I loaded it
onto the flash via BDI, but see no output on the serial console. I haven't
yet stepped into the code; I just wanted to know about the status of u-boot
on this configuration.

this system controller and it works just fine. What problems are

I put the u-boot binary in the Flash area and reset the board. I didn't see 
any console (serial) output, rather I saw some junk characters. The baud 
rates were set correctly.

I didn't have to modify anything in the config, since everything was set 
correctly (baud, processor type, etc).

BTW, this is a board with two 750FX processors.

Are you sure the baudrate is set corectly. What you described
sounds like a classic clock divider/baudrate not set
correctly...

Right, so I double-triple checked. Both, minicom and the 
include/config/db64360.h are at 115200.

Please read again what Frank wrote:  "...clock  divider/baudrate  not
set correctly...", i. e. check your clocks, clock dividers, BRGs etc.

Yes, the divisor, clock rate, etc, all too are correct.

By the way, my BDI isn't working right now. Is there any way of knowing if 
something's happening over PCI? Can I get to know the value of the 
Instruction Pointer?

hmm, don't have one here, will have to go to some hardware lab.

I'll report back when I get the BDI up and with my hacks on what made serial 
output work :-)
