It would have helped if you told us what board you are working with.

So it seems you're working in the at91 family. To my knowledge, this
family wasn't in good shape after the ARM relocation rework. So if at
all possible, then please try with the latest U-Boot (from git) code or
you will probably have to do the troubleshooting yourself.
