lguest (lhype) does the following:
/* FIXME: Better way? */
/* Suppress vgacon startup code */
SCREEN_INFO.orig_video_isVGA = VIDEO_TYPE_VLFB;
So I'd prefer a generic way of disabling the VGA stuff...
