Right now it's mainly an architectural thing. - The original blktap duplicated a lot of what originally constituted just blkback. - Access to virtual disk images from within dom0 gets more straightforward. Which matters a lot for some things dom0 can do to disks. - Request dispatch between kernel and userspace will get way more efficient at some point. - Blktap on non-Xen systems ... - ... Daniel
