Hi all,
Searched but can't find anything.
I am wondering what are the new features that will come with blktap2,
compared to blktap ?
Thanks.

Right now it's mainly an architectural thing.
- The original blktap duplicated a lot of what originally
constituted just blkback.
- Access to virtual disk images from within dom0 gets
more straightforward. Which matters a lot for some things dom0 can
do to disks.
- Request dispatch between kernel and userspace will get way more
efficient at some point.
- Blktap on non-Xen systems ...
- ...

Also: blktap2 has a driver for the vhd format.
