Dear all,
I want to install Xen 4.2 from the source files on Debian Squeeze. After
"make" and "make install", I update-grub and got the error message:
dpkg: version '/boot/xen.gz' has bad syntax: invalid character in version
number
I googled the solution. Someone said to delete xen.gz (a symbolic link to
xen.4.2.0.gz) but it doesn't work for me. Someone said it is a bug of grub
and so I installed the latest version, but after reboot my system get into a
confusing grub interface and I don't know how to continue. (thank god I am
using vmware)
Can somebody help me? Thank you very much!
Regards,
Yiming

That error will not affect grub menu entry generation.
You will need a Dom0 kernel with CONFIG_XEN_DOM0=y and place config file
in /boot.
Wei.
