xen-4.0.0 and 3ware Escalade 7506-4LP

xen-4.0.0 and 3ware Escalade 7506-4LP

Hello,

I try to run xen-4.0.0 on a 3ware Escalade 7506-4LP.
When i boot kernel with xen, initrd doesn't find my Raid5 on the 3ware
controller.
When i boot an normal or an xen kernel without xen the kernel find my raid5.

Does anybody have a 3ware 7506-4LP running with xen-4.0.0?

What dom0 kernel version are you using? 

Also please paste:

1) Your grub.conf/menu.lst
2) Full boot log including Xen and dom0 kernel

For capturing 2) you can/should use serial console:

Kernel doesn't boot because of initrd hangs.

Remove "quiet" and "splash" options from the vmlinuz line.
Add "nomodeset" option to the vmlinuz line.

And for the serial console:
add "earlyprintk=xen console=hvc0" to the vmlinuz line and you'll get the serial log through Xen.

That's why you need to use serial console and capture the kernel
boot messages so we can see WHY it hangs/fails.
