I bisected it down to changeset 21332 fixing the problem for me: http://xenbits.xen.org/hg/xen-4.0-testing.hg/rev/ab1fb1b8b569?revcount=480 And have reported it as Debian bug #684334: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=684334 in case they should want to fix it for their soon-to-be oldstable release.
