Hello Andreas,

there seems to be good news. Today Konrad published a branch with 
possible fixes for this really-longtime-annoying showstopper.

For me, the 'get_phys_to_machine'-issue seems to be history.

You might want to try Konrad's "debug-code" branch, too:
