Xen 4.2 Limits (needs review)

Hi,

I added a page on Xen 4.2 limits (based on info I know) at 
http://wiki.xen.org/wiki/Xen_4.2_Limits based on some information that 
Jan sent me a few months back. What I don't know is whether there is a 
difference for 64 bit and 32 bit guests. Also I may be missing missing 
some important figures/stuff that people want to know.

Is the intention to merge this into
http://wiki.xen.org/wiki/Xen_Release_Features when the release happens?

Ian, we could merge it, or we could have a line  in the matrix linking 
to the release limits.

I think we should either merge or delete the limits rows from the table
in http://wiki.xen.org/wiki/Xen_Release_Features. I'd be in favour of
merging.

Lars,

Some of the per-guest limits on http://wiki.xen.org/wiki/Xen_4.2_Limits 
do not match those on http://wiki.xen.org/wiki/Xen_Release_Features. For
example, the release features page says HVM guests have a limit of
1 TB (should be TiB) of RAM, but the 4.2 limits page says 512 or 256.

the limits page.

do you know which limits are correct? Maybe we should just add a Xen 4.2
column now.

I had gone over this already, and adjusted the things I knew for
sure. The upper limit of memory for HVM guests is something I'm
not sure about though (especially because I don't know whether
the tools impose any restrictions, as is the case for PV guests).

OK, I added a column. There are a few ???'s and some stuff on 
Xen_4.2_limit seems to have been a reduction compared to 
http://wiki.xen.org/wiki/Xen_Release_Features, so I chose the upper 
limit (in particular for HVM)

Any noteworthy new 4.2 features 
http://wiki.xen.org/wiki/Xen_Release_Features would also need to be added

I cleared these:
      * memsharing is still tech preview.
      * credit sched is still a prototype
      * ipxe is still the pxe stack
      * qdisk is still a fallback option.

I think that's all acurate.

I would have wanted to add native EFI boot and multi-segment
PCI support, but given how the "edit" tab's contents looks, I'm
afraid I would corrupt the entire table...
