Right -- so it would be better if this were something like:

v->arch.hvm_vcpu.guest_cr[0] = $SHARED_FLAGS;
if ( is_pvh_domain(d))
     v->arch.hvm_vcpu.guest_cr[0] |= $PVH_FLAGS.
