Seems as if xen-detect nowadays always thinks a domU is running as
HVM guest, even for pv-domUs:
# xen-detect
Running in HVM context on Xen v4.7.
# dmesg | grep Booting
[ 0.000000] Booting paravirtualized kernel on Xen
