For consistency could you also update this in the error message below?

 ERROR: BBFILES_DYNAMIC entries must be of the form <collection name>:<filename pattern>, not:
     /work/my-layer/bbappends/meta-security-isafw/*/*/*.bbappend
     /work/my-layer/bbappends/openembedded-core/meta/*/*/*.bbappend
