The FSG-US group is continuing their discussion of a possible face-to-face
meeting with FSG-Japan. The FSG-US meeting members are unaware of a
meeting at the New York Linux world but were still have an interest in
having a face-to-face meeting with the FSG-Japan team. Below are some of
the options and questions about setting up a face-to-face meeting

There are two meeting options:

#1 (Best Option) Joint face-to-face meeting with PWG, FSG-US and
FSG-Japan. The current meeting dates would be May 24th to May 28th. The
PWG is considering Japan or Vancouver, B.C. for the meeting. Currently,
Vancouver is the preferred choice since more people from North America will
be able to attend and meetings were held in Japan in pervious years.

#2 Joint face-to-face meeting with FSG-US and FSG-Japan only. End of April
is the preferred meeting dates for this meeting by the FSG-US team. Location
is open; either North America or Japan.

Purpose or possible agenda items:

>FSG-Japan to provide detailed presentation to FSG-US(/PWG?) on the BI-DI
and Vector Driver.

>FSG-US to provide detailed presentation to FSG-Japan(/PWG?) on
Architecture, Job-Ticket, Programming-API (PAPI), Image-Driver

>FSG-Japan/FSG-US to understand integration of API's under the (a) common
Architecture

>FSG-Japan/FSG-US to discussion next steps (API, integration, testing, etc)
for next 3-, 6-, 12- months

>FSG-Japan/FSG-US to prepare presentation for the FSG-Executive Committee

>FSG-Japan/FSG-US to prepare presentation for the PWG

Questions for the FSG-Japan and FSG-US:

Since this note is to determine interest by both teams, please respond to me
or the mail distribution list of this note. It is very important to
determine who and where the possible meeting would be held before going
further with meeting plans.

Would you attend a face-to-face meeting?

Which of the two meeting options (FSG-Japan/FSG-US only or
FSG-Japan/FSG-US/PWG) is preferred by FSG-Japan?

Do you have a different suggested meeting option?

(FSG-Japan) Are you willing to travel to North America?

(FSG-US) Are you willing to travel to Japan?

Do you have any suggestions, changes or additions to the proposed agenda?

Any other comments?

Yes, I'd like to attend the meeting.

> Which of the two meeting options (FSG-Japan/FSG-US only or
> FSG-Japan/FSG-US/PWG) is preferred by FSG-Japan?
Both are okay for me.

I think we should have a FSG/PWG joint meeting anyway to make a consensus
with each other, and if we can have a separate FSG only f2f meeting earlier,
I'd like to attend as mush as I can.

> Do you have a different suggested meeting option?
The last week of April may not work for many Japanese folks, because the
holiday week start from 29th until May 5th in Japan. So, I prefer another
day if we have a separate meeting.

No problem.
