Hello Again:

Just posted an e-mail regarding 5.1 Analogue Speakers with SB Live 5.1 soundcard ...

Have another question...

Has anyone been able to setup a Philips Sonic Edge 5.1 Soundcard in Alsa yet?

If I can't get the SB Live card to work, a friend has offered me to try this one - but it is not on the list of currently supported hardware.

It is a cheap and widely available card however, at least here in the UK, and was wondering if anyone was working on support.

Best,

David

Not AFAIK.

It depends on what chip it uses. It would be interesting to know what
lspci says about it.

I guess it's some proprietary chip which nobody knows anything about.

Regards,
Clemens

Andreas
