I was just thinking: would the 2 GB limit workaround that qemu uses on
the i386 emulator be needed on a 64-bit processor?

Anybody managed to install/run WinXP 64-bit or Vista 64-bit under QEMU ?
The WinXP installation just freezes for me on very early stage and Vista
gives kind of PANIC message ...

I reported the problem a while back, but I am utterly swamped with work,
so I could not instrument the code as suggested yet to understand the
issue better, unfortunately. Maybe I can squeeze some time later this
week.
