hi,

changed the kernel from 2.4.4 to 2.6.0-test7-mm1 i got the following
messages after starting X11:  http://www.tgsoftware.de/xfree.txt

any ideas ?

both are set to
CONFIG_AGP=m
CONFIG_AGP_INTEL=m

but, i just saw, that i didn't set
# CONFIG_I2C_I810 is not set
# CONFIG_DRM_I810 is not set
# CONFIG_FB_I810 is not set

may be, this is the reason... i'll try it

It looks like you have forgotten to configure agpgart.

You need to set

CONFIG_AGP=y
CONFIG_AGP_INTEL=y

Okay, i'll try to compile it into kernel, not as module,
there was already something with unresolved symbols
in XFS, JFS and ethernet-card (3c59x) also runs only when not loaded as
module.

Were they loaded when you started X?  The message:

(EE) Unable to open /dev/agpgart (No such device)

suggests that they were not.
